This reduc­tion reac­tion is com­mon­ly referred to as zir­­co­ni­um-cat­­a­lyzed amide reduc­tion” and finds wide­spread appli­ca­tion in the prepa­ra­tion of organ­ic com­pounds, includ­ing phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal and fine chem­i­cal syn­the­sis.
