1. Devel­op­ment of liq­uid crys­tal dis­play mate­ri­als (LCDs):
   ET-PCC5 belongs to the class of bicy­­clo­hexa­­ne-sub­­sti­­tut­ed aro­mat­ic amine com­pounds. Its mol­e­c­u­lar struc­ture has a rigid skele­ton and hydropho­bic side chains, which helps to form spe­cif­ic liq­uid crys­tal phas­es (such as nemat­ic phase or cho­les­teric phase).
   As a liq­uid crys­tal monomer or inter­me­di­ate, it is used to adjust the phase tran­si­tion tem­per­a­ture, dielec­tric anisotropy, refrac­tive index and oth­er prop­er­ties of liq­uid crys­tal materials.
2. High-per­­for­­mance poly­mer mate­r­i­al monomer :
   Because it con­tains active amine groups (1,3-diamine), it can also be used as one of the monomers of high-per­­for­­mance poly­mers such as polyamide and poly­imide, giv­ing the mate­r­i­al excel­lent ther­mal sta­bil­i­ty and mechan­i­cal properties.
3. Appli­ca­tion in advanced dis­play or opti­cal mate­ri­als :
   In new opto­elec­tron­ic tech­nolo­gies such as OLED, flex­i­ble dis­play, LC phase-con­trolled opti­cal devices, this type of struc­ture may be used to reg­u­late opti­cal anisotropy or mol­e­c­u­lar orientation.
