DGGR – Chro­mogenic Lipase Sub­strate CAS 195833-46-6, also known as chro­mogenic lipase sub­strate, is a spe­cial­ized sub­strate used to detect and mea­sure the activ­i­ty of lipas­es, which are enzymes that cat­alyze the hydrol­y­sis of fats (lipids). The term ​“chro­mogenic” refers to the gen­er­a­tion of a col­or change when the sub­strate is cleaved by the enzyme. This col­or change can be mea­sured spec­tropho­to­met­ri­cal­ly, allow­ing for quan­ti­ta­tive or qual­i­ta­tive analy­sis of lipase activity.
