Description
Penicillinase, also known as β-lactamase, penicillin amino β-lactam hydrolase, is widely distributed in various microorganisms, especially in bacteria.The enzyme can effectively hydrolyze the β-lactam ring of β-lactam antibiotics, thereby losing the antimicrobial activity and hydrolyzing β-lactam antibiotics, including penicillin G, ampicillin, ampicillin, amoxicillin, and Ammonia and the like.
This product is isolated and purified from recombinant E. coli, and is sterilized by filtration to obtain a sterile penicillinase solution.

Enzyme activity definition
In phosphate buffer at pH 7.0, 37 ℃ , the amount of enzyme required to convert 1 unit of penicillin in 1 hour is 1 U.
Product Usage
1.Sterility test and microbial limit test for β- lactam antibiotic drugs.
2.Removal of residual penicillin in the environment and medical equipment.
3.Rapid quantitative determination of penicillin residues in milk and treatment of penicillin excess milk.
4.New antibacterial drug screening.
5.ELISA assay using penicillinase as a labeling enzyme.
Recommended Method
1. Membrane filtration method (see Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2020)
(1) Take an appropriate amount of penicillinase intothe water for injection and configure it as a rinse solution. Sterilize all the used equipment in a suitable method and then soak it in the rinse solution for 10 minutes.
(2) Take a specified amount of the test sample, filter it according to the specified method, and rinse the filter with an appropriate amount of rinse solution.
(3) Another appropriate amount of penicillinase is added to the water for injection to a certain concentration of the solution, and an appropriate amount of the solution is added to the medium.
(4) The filter is inoculated into the medium according to a prescribed method.
2. Direct inoculation method (see 2020 Chinese Pharmacopoeia)
A predetermined amount of the test sample is taken, mixed, and an appropriate amount of the sterile penicillinase solution is added, and inoculated into each tube medium.Or directly into the medium containing sterile penicillinase.
Transport and Storage Stability
Transportation stability : It is transported in an ice pack to keep it active.
Storage stability : 2~8 °C, protected from light, stable storage for 8 months.It should be used up once after opening the bottle.
