Known Application

  1. Water treatment agent raw materials
PSI is the precursor of polyaspartic acid (PASP), which is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly water treatment agent used as : corrosion inhibitor, scale inhibitor, dispersant ; commonly used in boiler water, cooling water and reverse osmosis systems.
  2. Agricultural applications
PSI can be further converted into polyaspartic acid and used as a soil conditioner, slow-release fertilizer carrier to improve nutrient release.
  3. Biodegradable material raw materials
Its derivatives such as PASP can be used for biomaterial development, such as medical slow-release materials and biocompatible carriers.
  4. Chemical intermediates
PSI itself can also be used for further chemical modification to synthesize other functional polymers or resins.
