Fea­tures

It is an impor­tant inter­me­di­ate in organ­ic flu­o­rine syn­the­sis and advanced chem­i­cal syn­the­sis, as well as in the pro­duc­tion of flu­o­ri­nat­ed sur­­face-active agents. It serves as an aliphat­ic com­pound used for the syn­the­sis of flu­o­ri­nat­ed sur­fac­tants. Addi­tion­al­ly, it can be employed in chrome plat­ing process­es as a mist sup­pres­sant for chromi­um, pre­vent­ing the for­ma­tion of haz­ardous chromic acid fumes. The rec­om­mend­ed dosage of the mist sup­pres­sant is 0.2 to 0.4 mil­li­liters of per­flu­o­rooc­tane­sul­fon­ic acid per liter of elec­tro­plat­ing bath solution
