Product performance

ASA has a higher reactivity than AKD and is very easy to form ester bonds with the hydroxyl groups on the fiber surface. Of course, ASA is also very easy to hydrolyze to form dibasic acids when it encounters water. If ASA is used improperly, a large amount of hydrolysis products will seriously affect the operation of the paper machine. The cost of ASA sizing is lower than that of traditional AKD sizing, but the use requirements are relatively harsh. How to use ASA well has always been a difficult problem for current papermakers. The above data is expected to provide a certain reference for the majority of papermakers.

Known Application

As a sizing agent, it is commonly used in the papermaking industry.
