DMFL-CBP is wide­ly used as a cat­a­lyst or reagent in organ­ic syn­the­sis reac­tions. It can be employed in the syn­the­sis and trans­for­ma­tion of var­i­ous organ­ic mol­e­cules, such as ester­i­fi­ca­tion, ether­i­fi­ca­tion, nucle­ophilic addi­tion to alkenes, con­den­sa­tion reac­tions, etc. DMFL-CBP acts as a strong acidic reagent and can enhance reac­tion rates and yields in cer­tain reactions.
