Ascor­byl Palmi­tate is an effi­cient, safe, and non-tox­ic liposol­u­ble nutri­tion­al antiox­i­dant that is insol­u­ble in water and veg­etable oil. It appears as a white pow­der with a slight cit­rus odor.

So it is com­mon­ly used as an antiox­i­dant and sta­bi­liz­er in phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal for­mu­la­tions. It pro­tects drugs from oxi­da­tion, pro­longs their shelf life, and enhances their sta­bil­i­ty and bioavailability.
