Known Application

1. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Research As a signaling molecule research tool : cCMP may participate in intracellular second messenger systems. Studying it helps to understand the role of cyclic nucleotides in cellular signal transduction. Comparative studies : Used in comparison with cAMP and cGMP to investigate how different cyclic nucleotides regulate cellular functions. 2. Pharmacological and Physiological Research Used to explore its potential effects on smooth muscle relaxation, vascular responses, and nervous system functions. Studied for its role in immune modulation, such as its effects on macrophage or lymphocyte activity. 3. Enzymology Research Substrate for phosphodiesterases (PDEs): Used to study the enzymatic degradation of cyclic nucleotides. Kinase/cyclase studies : For investigating enzymes involved in the synthesis and metabolism of cCMP. 4. Analytical Testing Used as a reference standard for calibration in analytical methods such as HPLC and LC-MS.
