Appli­ca­tion

1,5-Cyclooctadiene, also known as COD, is an use­ful inter­me­di­ate for many organ­ic com­pounds, such as Suber­ic acid, octen­dioic acid, Low tem­per­a­ture plas­ti­ciz­er, Polyamide fiber monomer, and fire retar­dant, etc. It is wide­ly used as addi­tive for cis-1, 4-poly­bu­­ta­di­ene rub­ber, reac­tive dilu­ent for epoxy resin, and is the main raw mate­r­i­al for Dechlo­rane Plus (DCRP) and Bro­mide deriv­a­tive. It also can be used as lig­and in organometal­lic chem­istry.
