Descrip­tion

Travo­prost is a clear,colorless to slight­ly yel­low oil that is very sol­u­ble inace­toni­trile, methanoloc­tanoland chlo​ro​form​.It is prac­ti­cal­ly insol­u­ble in water.

Travo­prost is asyn­thet­ic prostaglandin F2a ana­log. Travo­prost oph­thalmic solu­tion 0.003% is sup­plied as sterile,isotonic,buffered aque­ous solu­tion of travo­prost with a pH of approx­i­mate­ly 6.8 and an osmo­lal­i­ty­of approx­i­mate­ly 290 mOsmol/​kg.

Iravo­prost 0.03 mg/​mL ;
Preser­v­a­tive : polyquatemi­um-1- 0.0Img/mL ;
Inac­tives : boric acid, man­ni­tol, poly­oxyeth­yl­ene 40 hydro­genat­ed cas­tor oil, propy­lene gly­col, sodi­um chlo­ride, sodi­um hydrox­ide and or hydrochlo­ric acid(to adjust pH) and­pur­fied water.

Travo­prost oph­thalmic solu­tion is a top­i­cal med­ica­tion used for con­trol­ling the pro­gres­sion of glau­co­ma or ocu­lar hyper­ten­sion, by reduc­ing intraoc­u­lar pressure.
